Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to drive long-term business growth.
* Generate sales bookings for NuWaves' standard product lines and Engineering Design Services.
* Partner with the Director of Business Development to execute strategic sales initiatives.
* Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within military and DoD markets.
* Conduct market research, attend trade shows and conferences, and perform customer site visits.
* Prepare quotes, support proposal development, and ensure alignment with customer cost, schedule, performance, and contract requirements.
* Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Project Management, Contracts, Marketing, and Leadership to support business capture efforts.
* Present NuWaves' capabilities, products, and services to prospective and existing customers.
* Develop and execute capture and win strategies for competitive opportunities.
* Maintain accurate customer interactions, opportunities, quotes, and sales activities within Salesforce CRM.
* Lead and participate in business development reviews, including Black Hat, Green Team, Gold Team, and White Glove reviews.
* Support conference planning, booth setup, and customer engagement activities.
* Deliver exceptional customer support while balancing strategic growth initiatives and daily business needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
* Experience in business development, technical sales, account management, or government contracting.
* Experience working within the military, defense, or DoD industry strongly preferred.
* U.S. Citizenship is required.
* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
* Ability to build relationships with customers and cross-functional internal teams.
* Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
* Experience developing and managing customer relationships throughout the full sales lifecycle.
* Understanding of DoD acquisition processes, funding, and competitive landscape.
* Experience supporting proposal development and opportunity capture efforts.
* Knowledge of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
* Ability to develop sales strategies and execute business growth initiatives.
* Experience collaborating with engineering and technical teams on customer solutions.
* Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
* Prior experience selling engineering services or technical products.
* Familiarity with RF, wireless communications, or defense electronics industries.
* Experience attending and representing organizations at trade shows and industry conferences.
* Demonstrated ability to develop capture strategies and lead proposal reviews.
* Self-motivated team player with a customer-first mindset and strong business acumen
