Location: Houston, TX

Assignment Type: 3-month contract with potential for

contract-to-hire or Direct Hire depending on experience

Compensation: $80,000-85,000

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-5 PM

Commercial Property Manager

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of office properties, with some exposure to retail and industrial assets. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while maintaining autonomy over day-to-day property operations.

Position Overview
  • Responsible for the management of five commercial properties totaling approximately ~300,000 square feet
  • Office-based role with regular travel between assigned properties; reliable transportation is required
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for tenants and property owners
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of day-to-day property management for assigned assets
  • Act as the primary liaison with property owners, providing updates and addressing all property-related matters
  • Deliver annual property budgets and monthly financial reports to clients in a timely manner
  • Review financial statements prepared by the accounting team and provide variance explanations
  • Supervise two building engineers supporting the managed properties
  • Serve as the first point of contact for tenants and manage tenant relations
  • Prepare and issue accurate monthly tenant invoices
  • Oversee rent management programs for each property
  • Monitor and respond to tenant service requests to ensure high service levels
  • Perform some administrative duties with support from an existing administrative team
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial office property management
  • MRI accounting software experience required
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities across properties
