High-Tech Intellectual Property Associate Attorney
Washington, D.C. or New York City

Direct Counsel is seeking a High-Tech Intellectual Property Associate to join a top-tier Am Law firm with a nationally recognized IP practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior associate to work on sophisticated, cutting-edge matters alongside a highly regarded team.

The Opportunity

The firm is looking to add associates with 2–3 years of experience to its Intellectual Property group. The role is based primarily in Washington, D.C., with the option to sit in the firm’s New York City office.

Associates will work on complex IP matters, with a strong emphasis on patent litigation involving advanced technologies.

Qualifications
  • JD from an accredited law school (Class of 2022 or 2023)

  • 2–3 years of relevant IP experience

  • Technical background required, including:

    • Electrical Engineering

    • Computer Engineering

    • Mechanical Engineering

    • Physics or a closely related field

  • Patent litigation experience preferred

  • Superior academic credentials

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary range: $260,000 – $310,000, commensurate with experience
