Holiday Barn Pet Resorts - Promotions and Office Assistant
What do we do at Holiday Barn Pet Resorts? We get the opportunity, every day, to care for, play with, and be an integral part of the lives of thousands of Richmond's pets and their families. We also offer fun, energized playgroups for dogs to enjoy through our Doggie Day Care. Our Pet Grooming department is "paw-excellence" as we provide pets nice sudsy baths, pedicures, stylish haircuts, and anti-shedding treatments. Dogs who need some new manners or are looking to get a higher education can receive the professional training services of our personal pet trainers. Equally important, all Pack members at Holiday Barn work together for a common set of company values and mission of "Creating Joy in the lives of pets and their families."
We are seeking a Part-Time Promotions and Office Assistant to join our pack and help bring our brand to life in fun, engaging, and meaningful ways. From administrative and promotional support to pack engagement, this role is all about ensuring a "tail-wagging" experience by creating connection, both inside our resorts and out in the community. The Promotions and Office Assistant supports the administrative staff and reports to the Community Relations and Promotions Coordinator.
Promotions and Office Assistant Responsibilities:
  1. Promotions
  • Prepare and distribute promotional and/or branding materials to our resort locations
  • Assemble gift baskets for non-profits and community partnerships
  • Maintain inventories for printed materials, enrichment activities, and promotional supplies
  1. Brand Ambassador
  • Support and promote Holiday Barn at internal and external community events
  • Represent Holiday Barn in a professional manner consistent at community events, in-person, and via written communication
  • Promote participation in company events and initiatives through creative internal marketing efforts
  • Uphold brand standards, voice, and visual identity in all touchpoints, delivering a high-end guest experience
  1. Admin Support
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Community Relations and Promotions Coordinator, assisting with coordination of deliverable tasks, as needed
  • Print, assemble, and distribute materials such as report cards, promotional collateral, and internal documents
  • Additional requests and tasks assigned by Pack Resources
  1. Employee Engagement
  • Assist Human Resources Manager in bringing internal culture to life by supporting employee engagement initiatives that strengthen pack connection and morale
  • Gather employee feedback and support efforts to continuously improve engagement programs
  • Additional tasks as defined by HR Manager
  1. Performance Tracking and Insight Support
  • Monitor promotional and event performance and provide insights to improve future marketing efforts
  • Gather and report customer and employee feedback and trends, as applicable

Qualifications:
  • A passion for pets
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in a similar role, preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Flexibility: Hours and days vary; occasional weekends, holidays, and evening availability is a must
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at a time
  • Experience working with Microsoft applications or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time indoors and outdoors in varying types of weather

The Promotions and Office Assistant is based at our administrative office at 10173 Chamberlayne Rd but will also work on-site at a variety of venues. This position will work up to 29 hours weekly.
