Job description

We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Corporate Revenue team to manage revenue accounting for promotions and training programs on a global level. This role will also support the North America region to record the monthly activity in accordance with Align's corporate revenue policy and reconcile the related general ledger accounts.
In this visible role, you will manage the global revenue accounting policies for promotions and training revenue. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement the processes to support the global methodology. You will work cross-functionally to improve and evolve internal reporting capabilities of global programs required to support the growth of our business. 
The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to thrive in an environment that leverages revenue accounting knowledge, ERP operational expertise and experience with reporting tools, all as a key contributor in a cross-functional business environment. This is an individual contributor position that reports directly to the Senior Director, Revenue Accounting. 
  • Manage and communicate global revenue accounting policies and methodology related to promotions and training revenue
  •  Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards (ASC 606) across diverse promotional programs and contractual arrangements.
  •  Analyze complex technical accounting issues related to pricing, discounts, and bundled offerings, delivering clear guidance to business stakeholders worldwide.
  •  Develop and implement best practices for revenue treatment of promotional campaigns, ensuring accuracy and consistency across regions.
  •  Support contract reviews, identify potential revenue risks, and recommend solutions aligned with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  •  Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Sales teams to optimize promotional strategies while maintaining revenue integrity.
  •  Support the quarterly promotions process in each region and help ensure complete and accurate documentation of approved quarterly promotions and communication of final revenue accounting assessment 
  •  Support Training revenue accounting in North America by working with cross-functional teams
  •  Review North America monthly manual program accruals to confirm entries are complete and accurate in accordance with US GAAP and company policies and posted within Corporate Accounting close deadlines. 
  •  Collaboratively work with IT, Finance Business Ops and finance teams to identify and implement process and system changes that provide improved and relevant reporting aligned with business initiatives
  •  Coordinate with global finance and accounting teams to build consistent reporting, revenue accounting and adherence to SOX requirements
  •  Manage all SOX responsibilities associated Promotion and Training programs including performing and documenting control activities specific to the North America and coordinate and review activities performed by global teams
  •  Prepare monthly GL account reconciliations, document revenue fluctuation analyses, and distribute monthly and quarterly metrics reports
  •  Providing training to regional Finance teams on revenue accounting related to promotions and training revenue
  •  Support new product and program launches as needed
  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting/Finance 
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in a revenue accounting role as a senior revenue analyst OR manager level in applying ASC 606 guidance in publicly traded high technology companies 
  •  Knowledge of US GAAP and Revenue Accounting ASC 606 
  •  Experience with reporting tools, preferably Data Lake
  •  Practical experience navigating general accounting functions in large ERP applications
  •  Demonstrated ability to work strategically with finance teams 
  •  Strong business acumen and ability to work independently with cross-functional business teams
  •  Detail-oriented focus and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  •  Excellent Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups, etc)
  •  Excellent written and oral communication skills
If provided, base salary or wage rate ranges are the range in which Align reasonably expects to set a candidate's pay for the posted position. Actual placement depends on the individual skills and experience level of a candidate plus the total compensation and equity across team members. For other locations outside of the primary location, the base salary range will be adjusted geographically. 
 
For Field Sales roles, the salary listed is the base pay only and does not include the applicable incentive compensation plan. A cost of living adjustment may be added to base pay for higher cost areas in the U.S. 
 
Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.

Employee benefits.  Align offers its employees:

  • 401k plan (with a discretionary Company match of 50% up to 6% of eligible earnings up to a maximum match of 3%.). Employer match vests after two years - 25% year one and 100% at year two. Align offers traditional, Roth, and after-tax options.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program (Employees must work 20 hours or more and be employed on purchase date to be eligible).
  • Paid vacation of up to 17 days during the first full year of employment (currently accrued at the rate of 5.24 hours each pay-period), which carries over to a maximum cap of 30 days.  Annual paid vacation time accrual increases based on tenure. Both exempt and non-exempt employees who work 32 hours or more per week receive prorated vacation accrual based on their regularly scheduled work hours and tenure.
  • Sick time is accrued throughout the year at the rate of one hour for every thirty worked. Employees can carry over unused sick leave each year, up to a maximum balance of 80 hours.
  • 11 Company-designated paid holidays throughout the year.
  • If employed for at least 12 consecutive months, Align will grant up to 6 weeks of paid Parental Leave. If employed for less than 12 consecutive months, Align will grant up to 4 weeks of paid Parental Leave.  All parental leave must be completed within one year of the birth or placement of the child.  Parental leave is in addition to any state and/or local parental leave benefits. Three days of paid bereavement leave. In some cases, due to travel the amount of paid leave may be extended to 5 paid days off. To the extent applicable state or local law offers more generous benefits, Align complies with any such law.
  • Non-exempt employees will receive full pay for up to 10 days of jury duty.  Exempt employees will receive their full salary during any week they serve and perform any work. Other insurance such as legal, critical illness, voluntary accident, long-term care, auto, home and pet insurance are available for purchase.
