Job description

Overview

Location: Fort Bliss, Texas

Pay: $20-$22 + $5.09/hw

Schedule: The contractor is responsible for conducting business, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m (local time) Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings.

Responsibilities
  •  The duties for the HCW are as follows: The Health Promotion Coordinator works as a team member in a dynamic group that delivers primary preventive services to a diverse population. Reports to the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Director. Assists in providing health assessment review as part of the standardized Fort Bliss in-processing program.
  •  Serves as liaison to unit commanders and H2F for the provision of primarily prevention and health promotion education services. Coordinates and conducts on-site screening sessions with activities and participants. Makes copies as required. Extracts data, assembles data and creates reports.
  •  Serves as an Administrative Support Assistant to the H2F advisor when not performing Health screening duties with responsibility for providing screening appointments for active-duty personnel. Administrative support duties to include, but not limited to, collecting, entering, assembling, sorting, and extracting data for new arrival and resiliency screen results reports. Contacts supported units to change, cancel, and/or remind of upcoming screening appointment. Receives telephone calls, relay messages to appropriate H2F staff. Compiles all required administrative forms and documents for screening.
Qualifications
  • Degree/Education (5.2.4): Contractor employees shall at minimum have an education level of an Associate's degree in a health-related field. An Associates with an emphasis on mental health is preferred but not
  • Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support (5.2.3): None
  • Experience: 1-year experience working in health promotions
  • Licensure/Registration: None
  • Board Certification (5.2.6.4.4): None
