Energy & Infrastructure Projects Associate Attorney / Counsel
Locations: Houston, Texas | New York, New York | Washington, DC | Toronto, Ontario

Direct Counsel is representing a premier global law firm seeking a mid-to-senior level Associate or Counsel to join its highly regarded Energy & Infrastructure Projects group. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on sophisticated domestic and international energy and infrastructure transactions alongside a market-leading team advising sponsors, developers, lenders, investors, and strategic parties across the sector.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of law firm experience with strong financing capabilities and significant exposure to energy and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on complex energy and infrastructure transactions across a broad range of industries
  • Structure, negotiate, and document debt financings and tax equity financings
  • Support mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and project development transactions
  • Work on renewable energy, conventional energy, and infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams on sophisticated cross-border matters
  • Manage transaction components and maintain direct client interaction
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of law firm experience in energy, infrastructure, project finance, or related transactional matters
  • Strong financing experience required
  • Experience with debt financings, tax equity financings, M&A, joint ventures, and project development transactions preferred
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
  • Strong academic credentials
