Job description

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Perikin Enterprises is looking for a talented Project Scheduler to join our dynamic team located in Tullahoma, TN. Perikin is headquartered in Albuquerque, NM, and provides management, engineering, and environmental services and executes construction projects for the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy (DoE), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and other organizations. This position is in support of Perikins mission to provide engineering services; program, project, financial, and information management; and administrative support to Government customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing programmatic support to ensure the successful completion of HSST and HyTIP Program objectives. The candidate will directly interface and assist USAF and TRMC leadership and assume responsibility for creating and overseeing the schedule and performance of highly complex hypersonic investment projects.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
Directly interfacing with project managers, project coordinators, engineers, and other staff and supporting project workforces to oversee schedule performance against project goals.
Perform schedule risk analysis regularly to aid in successful program execution.
Provide technical and management scheduling support for the PM.
Develop and maintain a resourced Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using Microsoft Project or P6.
Advise the PM at least weekly (and daily as needed) on tasks, deliverables, due dates, slippage, and impact.
Identify and include the sequencing and duration of key events and milestones in the IMS.
Coordinate with team leads at least weekly (and daily as needed) on their tasks to communicate the status, progress, and future workflows/events to keep the project on track.
Attend weekly IMS meetings with the PM and Government project lead.
Help identify and incorporate the essential interrelationships between work tasks, subtasks, and related workstreams, the duration of tasks, and their impact on project schedule, risk, and resources.
Help develop and manage data/metrics to support the statistical analysis and historical trends of acquisition performance.
Help develop communications products as needed, e.g., memos, issue papers, PowerPoint slide decks, training aids, etc.
Work with team members to maintain a list of processes and to track process improvement and updates.
Attend other meetings and provide meeting notes on behalf of the PM as required.
Assist in the formulation of budget requirements and lead the development of execution plans in accordance with OSD programmatic requirements and technical objectives.
Support in project execution to assist in identifying programmatic and/or technical issues and overseeing the development of corrective action plans.
Maintained excellent communication and coordination with USAF and OSD personnel.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required:
Minimum 3 years experience with project scheduling.
Bachelors degree in business management, engineering, or related field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Required:
Mastery of Project scheduling techniques and success in managing multiple, highly complex projects.
Experience with EVMS (including integrated baseline reviews) and ability to manipulate complex IMS to determine critical and driving paths to major milestone events.
Experience developing and managing strategic scheduling and planning documentation such as an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Experience developing and analyzing an IMS (>2,000 lines) on fast-paced, complex programs using Microsoft Project or P6.
Ability to leverage a Work Breakdown Structure to Integrate elements of contractor and Government (Client) schedules to account for all relevant dependencies.
Understanding how to develop, verify, and track a program's critical path.
Scheduler Experience in the following software: MS Project or Oracle Primavera P6.
Ability to review contract documentation and extract the information required to build out associated schedules.
Strong communication and writing skills are necessary for creating program progress in deliverables, briefings, and discussions with Program Office and higher management.
Demonstrated record of proactive, self-initiated schedule management initiatives.
Unwavering attention to detail, exemplary work ethic, and grace under pressure.
Ability to build positive relationships with coworkers and executing organizations.
Current Secret security clearance or eligibility for Secret clearance.Excellent oral/written communication skills.Must be available to work day shift M-F (~7:30 am - 4:00 pm).May be required to sit for prolonged periods of time as required by job duties.Work safely and professionally while adhering to all regulatory requirements.Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.Comprehend and adhere to staff directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.Effectively communicate in the Business English language.Carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. as required by job duties.Potential for travel <5%.
