Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Lead Project Planner to join our growing Projects team in Mississauga, ON.

Reporting to the Project Controls and Planning Manager the Lead Project Planner will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the project schedule to assist in the management and reporting on project activities in a timely and consistently accurate manner. The tasks you'll perform Support the Project Manager and the team to prepare the Project Schedules and provide up-to-date data to assist with the management of project activities to the highest quality, ethical and in line with Company, Client and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain the various project planning specific procedures, work practices, plans, systems and protocols to enable efficient work and maintain a consistent approach and high standard of work.

Provide specialist advice in designated areas of expertise. Work collaboratively with personnel across all business units. Prepare and effectuate overall project planning, for the entire project lifecycle, for EP/EPCM/EPC projects.

Define Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and generate master schedule baseline for engineering, procurement, and construction activities. Develop a different level of schedule for the project as well as supporting the business development group during the proposal phase. Ability to work with an internal and external client to create integrated EPC/client schedules.

The expertise you'll bring Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent is preferred. A minimum of 8 years experience in project-related scheduling and planning for Mining, Oil & Gas, Heavy industrial, Power or other larges project types. Must be experienced with Primavera P6 to an advance level Build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.

High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge of Project Planning and Management. Demonstrated ability to achieve consistently high standards within both budgetary and schedule constraints.
