Job description

The Implementation Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end onboarding process of new payroll clients, ensuring a seamless transition into PBS systems and services. This role plays a vital part in creating a positive first impression of PBS by delivering a smooth, accurate, and timely implementation experience. The Implementation Specialist configures and tests payroll and HRIS systems, imports and verifies data, and provides clients with personalized training and support throughout the onboarding process.

The position requires strong technical knowledge of payroll and HRIS platforms-particularly isolved-as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Implementation Specialists collaborate closely with the Business Development, Tax, Payroll, and IT teams to ensure all client data, tax configurations, and system setups meet compliance standards and operational requirements.

By maintaining meticulous documentation, adhering to strict timelines, and providing exceptional customer service, the Implementation Specialist ensures that each client's initial payroll runs are successful and that they are fully prepared to transition to their ongoing service team.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Comfortability with project management systems such as Click-Up, Asana, etc.
  • Prior experience with HRIS setups (a plus but not a requirement)
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work under pressure and handle sensitive issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and willingness to question discrepancies.
