Implementation Specialist

The Implementation Specialist is responsible for leading client plan implementations and conversions from kickoff through completion. This role serves as the primary project owner and client-facing lead during implementation, ensuring plans are set up accurately, timelines are met, and clients receive a smooth, wellmanaged onboarding experience.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Project Leadership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during implementation and conversion.
  • Lead weekly or biweekly client meetings (on camera), including agenda preparation, meeting facilitation, and call recaps.
  • Manage implementation timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Independently manage multiple concurrent implementations (typically 5–6, with higher volume during peak periods).

Implementation & Conversion Execution

  • Lead new plan implementations and provider conversions.
  • Review plan documents and support plan design discussions in collaboration with internal partners.
  • Set up plans and parameters in internal systems.
  • Maintain complete and organized client implementation files.

Documentation & Deliverables

  • Draft participant education materials, administrative guides, and required agreements.
  • Ensure all documents are accurate, complete, and aligned with plan provisions and client expectations.

CrossFunctional & Vendor Coordination

  • Act as a liaison between clients, internal teams, and external vendors as needed.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact timelines or deliverables.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication, including clientfacing presentations.
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex plan concepts to varied audiences.

The base salary range for this position is $52,000 – $75,000. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
