Job description

Juneau Construction Company is seeking a Project Manager to join our Atlanta, GA based Operations team. The Project Manager will work on-site along members of Field Supervision to ensure smooth delivery of a best in class project to our clients.

General Description:

The Project Manager's primary focus is to provide excellent management and administrative support necessary to contribute to the overall success of Juneau's projects.

Position Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Construction Management, or related engineering discipline
  • LEED, AP preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Commercial Construction
  • 3-5 years of experience in similar market segments on projects $50 million+ in contract value
  • Management level communication and leadership skills required

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Key participant in the preconstruction process including budgeting, scheduling, bids, presentations, etc.
  • Review the content of the Owner Agreement for executive execution. Provide feedback to Risk Management and Project Director during contract negotiations.
  • Design, manage, and update the project schedule working with other team members.
  • Key participant and/or manager of purchasing on individual projects.
  • Day-to-day management of construction budget.
  • Manage a timely and comprehensive Owner billing process.
  • Manage subcontractor's payment application process and content.
  • Analyze and evaluate PCO's from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Examine Contract Documents for completeness, deficiencies, constructability, code compliance, etc.
  • Manage all subcontract and purchase order agreements from award to close-out.
  • Ensure that the field staff is provided with all of the tools necessary to execute the project in the field (i.e. budget, contracts, qualified subcontractors, timely purchasing, etc.).
  • Represent Juneau to our clients during OAC meetings. Ensure that a comprehensive report of all cost, schedules, quality, and any other construction related issue is provided via Project Status Reports.
  • Respond to design team and consultants in a timely manner. Ensure all reports are responded to and closed out in a timely manner.
  • Direct, train, supervise, and manage all Project Engineering functions (RFI's, Submittals, Document Control, etc.).
  • Direct, supervise and manage the execution of a timely precise and complete close-out process.

Physical Demands / Job Expectations:

  • Position will work on-site with exposure to various weather conditions and may require regional travel between applicable Juneau Construction Company locations and jobsites.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, feel, twist, walk, talk, hear, see, bend, crouch, squeeze grasp, crawl, kneel, squat, push, pull, apply pressure, reach overhead.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. regularly if required.
  • Must be able to safely operate all required machinery.
