Job description

Director, Project Management — Direct Hire | Alpharetta, GA (4 days/week onsite)Also open to candidates based in Glen Allen, VA; Minneapolis, MN; or Greenwich, CT (5 days/week onsite in Greenwich).You’ll join a leading specialty insurance organization as it scales its Project Management Office to meet rising demand. In this individual-contributor Director role, you’ll own enterprise-wide, large, complex technology and data transformation initiatives — including target operating model design — partnering directly with business units rather than managing a team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead large-scale technology and data transformation projects from initiation through deliveryDesign and implement target operating models in partnership with business unit leadersPartner cross-functionally across operating units to align project scope, risk, and outcomesManage project budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communication at the enterprise levelIdentify and resolve risks and roadblocks before they impact deliveryTravel to client/business sites as needed to support project execution (25–75%, project-dependent)Represent the PMO in executive-level project reviews and steering committeesRequired QualificationsProven ownership of large-scale technology and/or data transformation projectsDirect experience building and implementing target operating modelsPMP or Lean Six Sigma certificationUS Citizenship (no visa sponsorship available for this role)Nice-to-Have QualificationsInsurance or financial services industry experienceExperience partnering with business units in a matrixed, non-people-management capacityTools & EnvironmentEnterprise PMO tooling and reporting for large transformation programsCross-functional collaboration across multiple business units and geographiesIdeal Candidate ProfileYou operate with autonomy, anticipate issues before they escalate, and bring structure to ambiguous, enterprise-scale problems.
