Job description

  • Position Summary
    • Coordinating System wide performance improvement activities and reporting the results of the activities as appropriate. Acts as a facilitator and educator for PI Teams and related PI activities. Assists teams in defining, collecting, analyzing measurement data and make recommendations for process improvement. Knowledge of healthcare best practice and process improvement methodologies. Ability to work independently, as well as effectively, in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment. Possessing tact, discretion, and diplomacy. Leadership and teaching ability. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Communicate effectively both verbally and in-writing. Recognizes the importance of being a role model for others as a member of a team. Knowledge of Performance Improvement/Opportunity Management Model. Must possess strong analytical and interpretive skills and be results oriented.
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Nursing, Healthcare/Business Administration or a closely related field or in lieu of the prementioned degree an additional 2 years of related work experience in addition to what is shown below is acceptable - Required
  • Experience
    • 1 Year - Clinical healthcare operations, performance/process improvement, project management and analysis or a closely related field - Required
  • License & Certification
    • If hire is a Registered Nurse, License with State of Practice or NLC/eNLC Multistate License - Required
    • Basic Life Support - Required
  • Core Job Functions
    • Promotes and teaches the PI process throughout the department and organization.
    • Responsible for PI project management through planning, implementation and follow-up, mostly related to clinical improvement opportunities.
    • Responsible for clinical integration of system and hospital initiatives within Perioperative Services.
    • Collects and analyzes measurement data on outcomes and performance improvement activities.
    • Trends and reports risk-related issues throughout the department and organization
    • Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements.
