Job Summary

We are seeking an experiencedย Project Manager 2ย with prior nuclear power station project management experience, specifically withย Feedwater Heater (FWH) replacements. This role will initially focus on developing theย critical path schedule for an FWH replacement project at Plant Hatch, working closely with schedulers, engineering, and craft teams. The Project Manager will coordinate all aspects of the FWH replacement including planning, execution, and outage preparation activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule Development:ย Collaborate with schedulers to build the critical path schedule for FWH replacement, including pre-outage and outage tasks.

  • Outage Planning:ย Lead preparation activities for outage execution, ensuring scope, resources, and safety standards are aligned.

  • Work Oversight:ย Provide craft oversight during planning and execution phases, including field work, rigging, installation, and reinstallation of interferences.

  • Interference Management:ย Plan and coordinate removal/reinstallation of interferences associated with FWH replacement.

  • Rigging & Installation:ย Manage rigging activities for removal of existing FWH and installation of the new FWH.

  • Testing & Verification:ย Coordinate post-installation testing to ensure performance and compliance with standards.

  • Cross-Department Coordination:ย Interface with engineering, operations, maintenance, supply chain, and safety teams to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Reviews & Approvals:ย Review work orders (WO) and schedules to validate accuracy and readiness.

  • Documentation & Reporting:ย Track project progress, prepare reports, and communicate milestones to leadership.


Qualifications
  • Education:ย Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred.

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years project management experience in aย nuclear power stationย or heavy industrial plant.

    • Direct experience with Feedwater Heater (FWH) replacementsย is required.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of outage preparation and nuclear plant systems.

    • Maximoย (work order management) andย Primavera P6ย (schedule development) experience highly desired.

  • Other Skills:

    • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.

    • Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.

    • Demonstrated success managing critical-path outage projects.
