Position:  Transmission Material Analyst II
Location:  260 Southfield Parkway, Forest Park, GA 30297 (4Days / 10 hrs)

Work Timing: 7:00 am to 5:30 pm (30 Mins Break)

Duration: 5 Months

Client:       Georgia Power


Position Overview

The Transmission Material Analyst II supports Transmission Capital Projects by coordinating, sourcing, and expediting materials required for transmission construction. This role ensures the right materials are available at the correct time and location to support project execution.

The position works closely with internal teams and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to maintain accuracy in material planning, procurement, and inventory control.


Key Responsibilities

Materials Planning & Procurement

  • Coordinate material requirements for Transmission Capital projects
  • Create and process Purchase Requisitions
  • Source materials through vendor quotes and procurement processes
  • Expedite materials to ensure on-time delivery to job sites
  • Review and validate Transmission Bills of Material (BOMs)

Systems & Reconciliation

  • Reconcile material data between:
    • TEAMS
    • MAXIMO
  • Ensure system accuracy and alignment with project requirements
  • Maintain documentation integrity and audit readiness

Compliance & Inventory Control

  • Support invoice reconciliation processes
  • Maintain strong inventory control standards
  • Ensure compliance with supply chain policies and procedures
  • Remain available to support emergency and storm restoration efforts

Project & Stakeholder Support

  • Assist in planning and execution of transmission system expansion and improvement projects
  • Partner with:
    • Construction
    • Engineering
    • Procurement
    • Traffic
    • 3PL contractors
  • Communicate material status and resolve supply issues proactively

Vendor Relations

  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers
  • Negotiate pricing and service contracts as needed
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure material availability

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with transmission materials or ability to quickly learn
  • Knowledge of supply chain coordination in construction or utility environments
  • Experience reviewing Bills of Material (BOMs)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience with enterprise systems (e.g., TEAMS, MAXIMO or similar ERP systems)
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, project-driven environments
