WHAT YOU GET TO DO

The Implementation Manager is responsible for tracking progress and quality of on-site implementation engineers and to ensure that the project timeline is met, and measures are set to keep on track. The Implementation Manager will collaborate with other project stakeholders to ensure the success and quality of the overall project.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Support and guide Implementation Engineers on-site for organization and prioritization:
    • Oversee and coordinate resource planning of the jobsite of assigned area, including turnarounds and vacations (4-week minimum look ahead)
    • Report deviations on Team availability (Absence etc.), and additional need of resources or skilled engineers to the according Line-Manager and the Site- and Project Manager to ensure the progress
    • Responsible for coordinating resolution of mechatronic issues with collaborative departments (installation, mechanical & electrical engineering, commissioning and development)
  • Oversee, schedule, andverify quality and completeness of the Implementation tasks on site of the assigned project
    • Coordinate with departments and all project stakeholders (KNAPP, customers, and third-party vendors) according to established schedules to meet site requirements. Any deviations will be communicated to Site-, Project-, and IT Project- Management.
    • Align with IT Core team on weekly basis, as applicable
    • Walk the site on average twice a day to assess project progress, identify risks and challenges, and report back to Project Manager
    • Conduct weekly risk assessments, report findings to the Project Manager and direct supervisor, and implement countermeasures as necessary to mitigate risks, following alignment with the Project Manager.
  • Assist with network and server installation topics as the on-site person responsible.
  • Support Project Core Team Leads on reporting, tracking, project progress (technical progress and cost state) per report structure
    • Validating the results of the progress tracking with the Site and Project manager
    • Uses KNAPP standard tools for open issue tracking for all disciplines (e.g. 3rd party integration, Controls, IT Infrastructure, and SW)
    • Facilitate weekly onsite meetings with implementation team to provide relevant project updates
    • Attend all meetings relevant to both the Project Implementation Management department and assigned project to ensure weekly updates are given accurately and issues are addressed promptly
  • Testing:
    • Support all KNAPP internal and Customer testing in coordination with test leads
    • Document test results with DevOps and KiSoft Analytics for KNAPP internal testing and share results (KMT, KIT, KST) daily with all stakeholders
    • Coordinate with third-party equipment to plan and execute end-to-end testing across all involved systems (KiSoft One, SRC, PLC, Machine Control) to verify functionality and support acceptance testing onsite.
    • Serve as point of contact for the Customer during customer testing phases (UAT / CIT / FAT)
  • Go Live/ramp-up:
    • Point of contact for customer during this phase
    • Align with customer on change, bugfix release installation following established change management rules (“RfC”) in alignment with ITPM

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years' experience with implementation of projects throughout the entirety of the project’s life cycle
  • Intermediate Knowledge of project management and of tools being used for project management
  • Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of computer systems and Windows operating system
  • Advanced organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Intermediate financial acumen and budget management experience
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Intermediate knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and industry best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of Mechatronics systems
  • Intermediate knowledge of KNAPP procedures and processes
  • Language skills: English required, bilingual preferred

Working Conditions and Environment: Warehouse

  • Overtime as required by work
  • Travel is required (up to 90%) or must be open to relocate to the assigned project (duration of over 1 year)
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Passport or ability to obtain passport
  • Professional office etiquette is required at all times
  • Physical requirements may include: sitting for extended periods of time, standing, walking, climbing a ladder, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching at arm’s length, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
