SUMMARY:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for providing project leadership, management, and leveraging Agile/Hybrid methodologies for project functions in the Corporate and Marketing business channels. This role will report to and collaborate with the PMO Manager, or equivalent, for the Marketing and Corporate IS Lines of Business, and will adhere to standards and practices for PMO functions. The Senior Project Manager will comply with standards set at the Enterprise PMO, or ORI, or equivalent. The successful candidate for this position must have the ability to weigh the effects of risk, time, cost, and function to strike a balance for appropriate decision making. This position requires prior project management training, experience, and implementation of problem-solving skills in the candidate's most recent employment to show current and working knowledge of such skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • With general direction, responsible to:
    • Project intake and initation management, including coordinating with associated teams and stakeholders to establish and communicate planning timelines.
    • Report on status of new or existing projects; forecast resource capacity; formulate and define project scope and objectives and maintain and create project roadmaps in accordance with industry best practices.
    • Lead medium- and large-sized project meetings and events; create, update and validate project data and report the data to management and peers; create and maintain project records; lead others in the ongoing completion of their work according to best practice.
    • Proactively identify and recommend corrective action for projects at risk of missing delivery objectives.
    • Create a communication plan, and regularly communicate to approved plans or upcoming actions that need to be taken by the business and/or IT.
  • Ensure proper project artifacts are completed by the team, including but not limited to system documentation, items required for SOX, ORI project reporting, or simliar regulations or internal processes.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating favorable outcomes
  • Experience managing projects in waterfall and agile environments
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

EXPERTISE:

  • Competent to manage most phases of medium- and large-sized projects; maintains focus on the business implications of the success or failure of the assigned portfolio.
  • Knowledgeable about the major disciplines and phases of project management.
  • Experience in agility, waterfall and hybrid methodologies.
  • EXPERIENCE:
  • Typically has 7-10 years of relevant technical and business work experience.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst and/or Scrum Master.
  • Salesforce, Workday Finance or Marketing project management experience strongly preferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Project Management Methodologies: Knowledge of various project management methodologies, frameworks, and how documentation and artifacts are captured. This includes understanding workflows and process design.
  • Technical Expertise: A broad general knowledge of computing systems hardware, software, networking, and information security concepts is helpful. Continual learning and expertise are required to ensure a broad and up-to-date knowledge of management and information systems concepts and solutions.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Skills in gathering, defining, and prioritizing project requirements, funding, and risks. Recommend action steps to project team members to achieve the goals and objectives of the project, and when issues aren't readily resolved escalation to IT leadership. Track project updates (milestone/date summary of tasks, risks, issues) weekly for Line of Business (LOB) meetings and status communications.
  • Time and Cost Estimation: Developing time and cost estimates utilizing both detailed and milestone project plans. Ensure project team members are tracking their time in Project Online or relevant systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Prism, Outlook, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Agentic AI, SharePoint, Excel and Smartsheets, or equivalent toolsets as they become available.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, or related fields; or equivalent work experience.

Communication and Interpersonal skills:

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and proactive with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, matrixed environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • At a minimum, the ability to work from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Consistent attendance is required, which may include attendance at after-hour Company events.
  • Ability to accept supervision, and accept/incorporate feedback.
  • Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Must be able to get along with others, i.e., peers, supervisors, stakeholders, outside customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone, video conferences and in person.
  • Must be a personable, positive, and professional representative of the company.
  • Ability to work overtime as requested and approved by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Overnight business travel by air and/or automobile, may be required.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance may be required.
  • The ability to maintain confidences and confidential information may be required.
  • The ability to perform under pressure and to be flexible with disruptions and deadlines is required.
  • Repetitive and continual keyboard activity and interaction with display monitors is required.

Sedentary work: The majority of activity in this position involves sedentary work including sitting, standing, walking and the occasional need to lift or move objects.

The estimated pay range stated represents the typical pay range for this position or similarly employed employees or employees performing substantially similar work. Factors which may be used to determine the actual pay rate may include, but are not limited to, education, training or experience; seniority; merit and work performance; quantity or quality of production; regional differences in compensation; differences in local minimum wages, or ability and effort.

Position's Pay Range:

$125,000-$135,000
