American Companies is seeking a motivated Construction Project Coordinator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in commercial construction while working alongside experienced project managers and operations professionals.

The Project Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting project execution from preconstruction through completion. You'll work closely with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving forward.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate commercial construction projects from startup through closeout
  • Assist Project Managers and Operations staff with daily project activities
  • Manage project submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
  • Update and maintain project schedules
  • Coordinate material deliveries, vendors, utilities, and subcontractors
  • Maintain project records within Autodesk Construction Cloud and related systems
  • Monitor project compliance with company procedures and safety requirements
  • Track shop equipment inventory and maintenance schedules
  • Communicate effectively with field teams, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Support project reporting and administrative functions

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of construction, project coordination, project engineering, or construction administration experience preferred
  • Knowledge of commercial construction processes preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans is a plus
  • Understanding of construction materials and jobsite operations
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and vendor coordination abilities
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and construction safety practices preferred
