Job Description

Summary

  • Strang is seeking a highly motivated Senior Construction Contract Administrator to join our growing organization and be a part of a Design Synchronicity Culture. You will be the primary contact during construction and facilitate timely communication and coordination between all stakeholders on a variety of exciting project types.  Under the guidance of leadership, you will not only deepen your expertise in construction administration but also pave the way for advancement into leadership positions within the department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead construction contract administration activities for small to large complex projects, ensuring compliance with project contract documents.
  • Collaborate effectively with the project team, including design staff, owners, contractors, and Code officials.
  • Oversee the timely processing of contractor submittals, coordinating closely with project stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to contractor requests for information.
  • Facilitate construction progress meetings and address any project-related challenges.
  • Conduct site observations, document findings and issue detailed field reports.
  • Review contractors pay requests to verify accuracy.
  • Review and/or assemble project closeout procedures, ensuring all project documentation and deliverables are complete and satisfactory.
  • Train and mentor staff on construction administration procedures and standards.

  • 6-8+ years of experience in construction services, administrative support, contract administration, or construction project management.
  • Understanding of the construction industry and processes, including codes, AIA documentation, and basic safety regulations.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and project management software.
  • Willingness to travel and/or work remotely, including some overnight travel to construction sites or project locales.
