Job description

Position Title: Project Controls -Scheduler
Location: West Palm Beach, Florida
Job Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000/ Annually

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

This position reports functionally Client Representative for functional/project oversight and CES Company Representative employment, performance management, and contractual administration.


Position Overview

As a vital member of our Program Controls and Technology team, this role is essential for the successful execution of our projects. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Scheduler with expertise in Primavera P6 or MS Project and project planning to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. This role is critical to the successful execution of our projects, and the Scheduler will collaborate closely with owners, project managers, engineers, construction managers, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain project schedules and deliver accurate and actionable scheduling insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project for complex programs.
  • Resource loading and leveling experience using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Ability to perform Time Impact Analysis and support delay claims
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Perform critical path analysis, identify schedule risks, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Monitor project progress, track variances, and regularly update the project team and leadership.
  • Integrate resource loading and cost data into schedules to support comprehensive project planning and reporting.
  • Prepare and present schedule reports, including Gantt charts, histograms, and other visual aids, to effectively communicate project status.
  • Support the development of baseline schedules and ensure alignment with project objectives and contractual requirements.
  • Conduct schedule audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Assist in preparing claims, change orders, and delay analysis as required.
  • Provide training and support to team members on Primavera P6 or MS Project and scheduling best practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling, OR no bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience focusing on Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing schedules for large-scale projects
  • Previous meaningful experience in Water and Sewer projects
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including scope, time, cost, and risk management.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project and other scheduling tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, and other project management software.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and other project control methodologies.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Perform additional project controls-related duties as required.
