A leadingย eDiscovery technology and Cyber Incident Response firm headquartered inย Washington,ย DC is looking for aย Project Associate, Cyber Breachย withย strong analytical skills, excellent organization, and a passion for client service. Theย role supportsย breachย response operations involving compromised datasets, identification of impacted individuals, and preparation of notification deliverables. The position is remote and includes participation in an on-call rotation.ย 
The qualified candidate should have administrative experience with Relativity (other eDiscovery platforms are also helpful). We take a consultative approach in working with our clients and managing cases and an understanding of the Incident Response lifecycle is important for all members of the team.ย ย 
This position includes working with a variety of internal & external team members includingย Operation/Technical team members,ย Project Managers,ย Businessย Development team, attorneys, company or government representatives, and other legal staff.ย 
Duties of the positionย 

  • Perform contact discovery and breach analysis in on-call and standard work settingsย 
  • Coordinate the intake, processing, and analysis of datasets for hostingย 
  • Extract, classify, andย validateย sensitive data, including PII and PHIย 
  • Build notification lists and support regulatory and client-facing reportingย 
  • Conduct andย maintainย consistent quality control and documentation across all deliverables,ย includingย analysis and remediation filesย 
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to meet deadlinesย 
  • Assistย with procedure development and continuous process improvementย 
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and chain of custody requirementsย 
  • Provideย ongoingย consultation to case teams for incident response related documentย review, data mining workflowsย ย 
  • Proactively communicateย ongoing projectย status and guidance to clients, partners, and internal teamsย 
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as needed, including nights and weekendsย 
  • Completeย additionalย duties assigned by management as neededย

Experience and qualificationsย 
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant fieldย 
  • 3+ย years' experienceย handling data operations or reviews in legal technology, cyber, or eDiscoveryย 
  • Comfort working with structured and unstructured dataย 
  • Ability to communicate effectively & tactfully both verbally and in written format to all relevant technical & non- technical stakeholders including attorneys, client support staff, and internal team membersย 
  • Knowledgeย with breach response concepts, PII and PHI handling, and eDiscovery workflows including evolution of product offerings and changing dynamics/expectationsย 
  • Proficiencyย with Windows operating systems and the Office product suiteย 
  • Ability toย demonstrateย superior organizational skills with an acute attention to detailย 
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in time-sensitive situations and prioritize multiple projects with similar deadlines,ย with occasional extended hoursย

  • Understanding of the electronic discovery reference modelย (EDRM)ย
