Role Overview:

Interstate Mechanical Contractors is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Project Manager to support the planning and execution of commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on exposure to construction or mechanical systems who are ready to grow into a leadership role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing commercial mechanical construction projects from start to finish
  • Coordinate with Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Support project scheduling, planning, and execution
  • Track materials, equipment, and deliveries to job sites
  • Review construction drawings and specifications
  • Maintain project documentation (change orders, reports, schedules, etc.)
  • Help monitor project costs, labor hours, and progress
  • Participate in job site visits and meetings
  • Ensure safety standards and quality expectations are met


What You Bring:

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in construction, HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical field
  • Exposure to commercial construction projects preferred
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong technology aptitude
  • Strong organizational and communication skills


Physical and Work Environment:

  • Office-based role with frequent site visits.
  • Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am 5:00 pm, with potential for extended hours as needed.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, mechanical environments, and construction sites; safety procedures and PPE provided.
