Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of municipal infrastructure and construction projects.

This role works closely with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and in compliance with technical and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of infrastructure projects
  • Review project plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and internal departments
  • Monitor project progress and assist in resolving issues
  • Assist with permit reviews and ensure compliance with standards
  • Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to project specifications
  • Interpret contracts and assist with budgetary controls
  • Verify and process progress payments
  • Assist in negotiating contract changes
  • Expedite responses to construction submittals
  • Participate in meetings with stakeholders and project teams
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Physical Sciences, or a related field
  • Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in:
    • Construction
    • Construction inspection
    • Design, geotechnical, or environmental work
