Summary

We are recruiting for a Program Manager who will be accountable for the execution of the entire Spartan scope of programs.  This role allows the incumbent the challenge of delivering a holistic OnePlant Solution, across a broad set of industries, ensuring we deliver a unified Spartan Customer Experience.  Reporting to the Manager, Operations - Systems, Software & Solutions, you will lead/coordinate a team to connect all Spartan's solutions, projects, scopes, and activities to achieve the strategic objectives and benefits for our customers.

Working directly with Customers, Spartan Project Managers, EPCs, OEMs and other third-party contractors, the successful candidate will manage multiple programs simultaneously, directing local and remote project teams.  A key focus for this role will include customer relationship management, risk management and contract/interface management.  

Role and Responsibilities
  • Customer relationship management and satisfaction.
  • Focus on value our Customers want and expect.
  • Understand and communicate Customer needs and business strategy/initiatives to ensure Spartan's continued leadership in delivering creative solutions.
  • Program risk identification and management.
  • Contract and interface management.
  • Managing scope, cost, schedule, integrated change control and quality in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Accountable for overall program financials and reporting.
  • Support the development of quality proposals that allow for smooth transition to project execution.
  • Provide leadership for the lifecycle of a program from sales handover to delivery of a quality solution, delivered to the Customer on time and on budget.
  • Experience with automation solutions, enterprise solutions, cloud connectivity, IT/OT, industrial networking and cybersecurity.
  • Experience with electrical systems, control panels, modular buildings, and integration of these components into a complete solution.
  • Interfacing and leading Spartan's manufacturing team, outsourced entities, and third-party contractors to produce a quality solution.
  • Strong collaboration with internal and external program stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences or similar with P.Eng. or P.L.(Eng.) designation, or diploma in Engineering with CET or RET designation.
  • Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) certification.
  • Expert-level knowledge of project management processes, industry business drivers and customer relations.
  • Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), Program Management Professional (PMI-PgMP) considered assets.
  • 12+ years relevant industry experience.
  • 5+ years acting as a Senior Project Manager/Program Manager.
  • Proven record managing increasingly complex projects with successful customer outcomes.
  • Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced team environment and work to timelines.
  • Strong negotiating skills; exceptional verbal and written communication.
  • Extensive and exceptional customer relationship/service practices.
  • Strong leadership skills, with ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  • High-level technical skills and willingness to learn.
  • Proven organization and prioritization abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic, self-starter with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Willingness to travel; travel to customer sites may be required.
