Title:

Program Manager

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

KBR is looking for a Program Manager lead a project in Alberta Canada who would reside in the in a KBR office or KBR partner office in Calgary Cananda. Ideally, this Program Manager would have brownfield, fabrication, and Canadian construction experience. This person must be good with interfaces and should be willing to spend time in KBR's Chennai India office as needed.

With general autonomy, this Program Manager can also manage large EPC projects having a TIC value, typically, of up to $1 billion. Alternatively, may have responsibility for management of two or more smaller projects.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assures safe project execution to the client's satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule and contractual requirements while maintaining bottom line responsibility for financial success.
  • Delivers expected results for financial, HSE, client satisfaction, budget and schedule performance.
  • Serves as prime point of contact between the client and company.
  • Assures the project execution is in accordance with policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.
  • Manages and coordinates activities of all project personnel by direct supervision, through subordinates or through joint ventures, alliances, etc.
  • In the proposal phase, works closely with Sales to evaluate and interpret requirements. May serve as a proposal manager.
  • Defines precise scope of work and identify changes between the original proposal and final contractual agreement.
  • Negotiates changes with the client.
  • Plans the project execution and revises the plan as necessary and assures adherence to the plan.
  • Keeps the client and company advised of project status.
  • Leads the project management team and is responsible for the successful completion of the project.
  • Abides by our business ethics.
  • Job role is independently accountable for a large staff or support arm of the organization or a single profit/loss or revenue center, major product line, or support function.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • The ideal candidate for this role will have skills typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Information Management or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in related projects with an average of 20+ years which includes several years of which includes several years' experience at the project manager level with a history of running project
  • They should be APEGA certified
  • Experience in SAGD is desired.
  • They should have excellent communication skills (oral and written) and be capable of interfacing with and influencing senior management within both KBR and Client organizations.
