Paladin Security is Hiring a Zone Supervisor – General Duties!

Location: 704 4 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, Canada
Schedule: 4-on / 4-off rotation (12-hour shifts) – 0600–1800 & 1800–0600
Pay Rate: $22 – $23/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview

Paladin Security is seeking a dedicated Zone Supervisor to oversee security teams across multiple client sites within our portfolio. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, supporting frontline security staff, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal leadership.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Security Programs Manager (SPM) and Branch Manager to ensure service delivery meets Paladin’s high standards. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to manage staff performance, site operations, and client expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the Branch Manager and Security Programs Manager.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
  • Ensure all staff within the assigned portfolio receive proper training aligned with company and client standards.
  • Conduct motivational or disciplinary discussions with staff when necessary.
  • Ensure each site maintains up-to-date Site Orders in both physical and TrackTik formats.
  • Evaluate staff performance as needed in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure TrackTik systems are functioning properly across all sites, including staff assignments.
  • Support client requests by implementing operational improvements and solutions.
  • Oversee site training and employee orientation programs.
  • Conduct regular site knowledge quizzes to confirm staff competency.
  • Perform ongoing security assessments of client facilities and provide recommendations to the SPM.
  • Communicate operational updates and issues to Operations and other Zone Supervisors as required.
  • Review incident reports and take appropriate action on any issues identified.
  • Provide regular updates to the SPM regarding significant events or operational matters.
  • Promote Paladin Security in a professional and positive manner.
  • Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with client expectations and Paladin’s Code of Ethics.
  • Respond promptly to communications from staff.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support branch and corporate needs.

Requirements

Must Have:

  • Valid Alberta Security License
  • Advanced Class 5 Driver’s License
  • 1–2 years of security experience
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience

Education & Additional Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a security-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Diploma in Security Management, Criminology, or related discipline is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of provincial or national standards related to security, privacy, and building codes.
  • Willingness to pursue professional development and industry certifications.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership, planning, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentations.
