Position Summary:
The primary focus of this position will be to help our Instructors facilitate Snapology programs. Assistant Instructors are asked to promote creativity, teamwork and problem solving skills of students by supporting the Instructor in the classroom.
Role & Responsibilities:
  • Assist Snapology Instructors as they lead groups of up to 24 students through curriculum-guided activities
  • Monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
  • Aid in management of student behavior
  • Maintain discipline
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
  • Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs
  • Participate in Snapology training & staff meetings

Qualifications:
  • Criminal and Child Clearances from Texas CBCU must be current (adult applicants)
  • Desire to work with children
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
  • Ability to analyze where assistance is needed initiate tasks independently
  • Capability to help with delivering and/or receiving materials (personal transportation needed)
  • Minimum education completed as of June 2025: Junior year of high school (college students and high school seniors are encouraged to apply)
  • First aid/CPR certification (required)

Position Details:
  • This is a part-time position, with hours dependent on student enrollment
  • Work location may vary by assignment.
  • Typical summer camp schedule runs a 3 1/2-hour morning camp and 3 1/2-hour afternoon camp Monday-Friday.
  • Opportunities for additional hours may include:
    • Instructor training
    • Materials inventory
    • Birthday Party Assistant or Facilitator (additional training required)
    • The pay rate ranges between $8-$15/hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Compensation: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
