Senior Program Account Manager, Provincial Contracts

OceanMD

Toronto, ON โ€ข On-site

Full-time

Posted 14 days ago

Job description

Join us as we change healthcare for the better.ย

OceanMD, a WELL Health Company, is the leading provider of EMR-integrated Patient Engagement and eReferral tools in Canada, playing a critical role in millions of patient visits and thousands of referrals every week. Our digital healthcare solutions empower patients and physicians to overcome the barriers preventing the timely delivery of healthcare services. By replacing paper forms with digital tools, we give patients and providers secure ways to connect, share health information, and update patient records. Our tools:

  • Empower patients to share health information with their physician before, during, and after visits, helping to ensure health records are up-to-date and accurate while improving patient care.
  • Meet the growing demand for digital solutions with online booking and secure messaging that improves the patientโ€™s experience, reduces the need for unnecessary phone calls, and makes clinics more efficient.ย
  • Improve access to care by replacing faxes, displaying wait times, and reducing the time to process and access specialist referrals.ย ย

Who we need

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Government Program Services, we are adding a Senior Program Account Manager, Provincial Contracts, to our team.ย

In this highly visible role, you will take ownership of one of our most strategic provincial accounts and support the rollout of our platform across a complex healthcare ecosystem. This is a multi-million-dollar program with senior stakeholders, competing priorities, and constant motion.

Your primary focus will be on a major Ontario-based program, operating at a fast pace, building relationships, and exceeding expectations. You will align Product, Integrations, Support, and Education teams, bringing clarity to ambiguity. You will work directly with senior stakeholders, managing expectations, navigating pressure, and maintaining momentum. Day-to-day, you will lead and chair meetings, capture decisions, track actions, and ensure follow-through across a wide network of contributors.ย

This is an existing, full-time, hybrid role requiring work in the office 2-3 days per week and travel within Canada as needed.

Who you are

You are an experienced program or account leader with a track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives, ideally within digital health or broader healthcare environments. You bring executive presence and are comfortable operating in high-stakes environments. You can chair meetings, lead conversations, and hold a room with senior stakeholders, bringing clarity, structure, and direction even as priorities shift. You are experienced in Project Management and have worked on complex initiatives.ย

You are resilient and composed under pressure. You are equally strong operationally. You are detail-oriented and highly organized, bringing discipline to documentation, follow-through, and coordination across multiple moving workstreams.

You are motivated by purpose, scale, and the opportunity to shape how healthcare is accessed, delivered, and experienced across an entire province, using advanced technology.

What's in it for you

Purpose and impact. You will play a central role in delivering digital health infrastructure that directly impacts how patients access care and how providers operate. These are large-scale transformations with visible, real-world outcomes across Ontario. You will work directly with senior provincial stakeholders on high-priority initiatives, gaining exposure to decision-making environments that shape healthcare systems. There is a real opportunity to shape processes, improve delivery models, and elevate how large-scale programs are managed.

Be part of a high-performance, evolving team. You will join a small, experienced group that has been actively refining how this function operates. You will operate in a true matrix environment, bringing together cross-functional experts to deliver outcomes. This is leadership defined by influence, judgment, and execution.ย

Leadership. You will be a critical part of our people-first mission, making a measurable difference to our success and that of our clients. Joining an established team within OceanMD, you will have the opportunity to innovate and refine procedures, actively contributing to the development and evolution of OceanMD as we continue to expand.

How you will make an impact

  • Lead provincial program execution. You will coordinate the delivery of complex healthcare technology initiatives, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, clarity on priorities, and progress against contractual commitments. You will manage multiple priorities simultaneously, adapting to evolving client needs while ensuring consistent forward progress.
  • Own the operational rhythm of the account. You will lead both internal and external meetings, with senior stakeholders present, ensuring discussions are structured, decisions are captured, and clear actions and ownership are established. You will produce clear meeting summaries, track action items, clarify ownership, and ensure nothing is lost across multiple concurrent workstreams.ย  You will apply strong project management discipline to coordinate a wide-ranging program with multiple concurrent deliverables, ensuring timelines, dependencies, and priorities are actively managed and aligned.ย
  • Build and nurture collaborative relationships. You will establish yourself as a trusted partner by navigating complex stakeholder dynamics, managing expectations, and maintaining strong working relationships at all levels. You will bring together internal teams as needed, ensuring alignment across Product, Integrations, and other functions to support delivery.
  • Identify risk and manage escalation. You will proactively identify risks, read signals in stakeholder interactions, and escalate concerns appropriately. You will balance responsiveness with sound judgement in a high-visibility, high-impact account.

What you bring

  • The experience. You bring depth to program and account management. You have significant experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives, ideally within digital health or healthcare environments. You understand how to manage competing priorities while maintaining delivery discipline.
  • Technical fluency. You have experience with healthcare systems, such as EMRs, HIS platforms, or related technologies. You understand the broader digital health landscape and its complexity. You are comfortable working alongside technical and product teams and can engage in discussions around integrations, workflows, and solution delivery. You actively use and explore AI tools in your work and are motivated to improve how you operate continuously.
  • The program management skills. You are comfortable operating in demanding client environments. You remain composed under pressure and navigate challenges with maturity and professionalism. You are flexible, responsive, and able to balance structure with agility. You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to manage documentation, track deliverables, and maintain clarity across multiple workstreams.
  • The leadership mindset. You bring resilience, professionalism, innovation and adaptability. You can identify red flags early, interpret stakeholder dynamics, and make informed decisions about when to escalate and how to respond. You are motivated by influence and impact rather than formal people management. You lead through collaboration, accountability, and execution. You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the confidence to chair and lead meetings with highly visible and influential senior stakeholders.ย ย

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100kโ€“$125k. The salary will be determined based on several factors, including the candidateโ€™s experience, qualifications, skills, and the needs of the organization. At OceanMD we are committed to fair and equitable compensation and aim to provide a competitive salary that reflects the value and expertise of the successful candidate.

What you can expect from our hiring process:

  • A virtual interview with a Talent Advisor discussing your interest in the role and your experience. The conversation will be recorded using BrightHire, an AI-powered video interview tool. More details will be shared when you are invited to interview.
  • A virtual interview with the Director, Government Program Services and the COO to learn about the role and future plans. You will be able to share your insights and expertise, and you will have time to ask questions about the company and the role.
  • A final in-person interview with members of the Government Program Services team and the leadership team. This will be a chance for you to ask questions about the companyโ€™s growth trajectory and how you will play a key role as the new Senior Program Accountย  Manager.
