The Test Solutions (TS) Center within the Hardware Engineering Discipline is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing Production and Engineering test equipment (TE) solutions for all Raytheon products. We are hands-on designers using the latest technologies and tools to integrate state-of-the-art test solutions. 

TS products are utilized in engineering labs, foreign and domestic depots, and in production testing environments utilized for tactical products. TS has work opportunities across all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including demonstrations, early engineering tests, design verification tests, production, and post-production sustainment.

The Test Solutions Center seeks a Test Equipment Program Lead to oversee multiple project teams who are responsible for the execution of capital TE scope.

Capital Execution Leaders are responsible for all elements of capital TE scope through all lifecycles, budget, metrics and Estimates At Completion (EACs).  

The selected candidate will support and drive the development of capital execution rigor and long-range planning for engineering and operations capital.  You will establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with your team to ensure alignment with the department and directorate.  Take a quick look at this short video from an independent content creator that features the Andover area and the type of work this team supports.

What You Will Do

  • Lead multiple capital projects and teams from TE Startup to Factory Deployment

  • Understand scope, factory and program needs of capital programs

  • Drive and be involved in long range planning for capital TE

  • Lead capital TE proposal efforts supporting the Engineering / Operations Long Range Plan

  • Follow TS EAC process for capital scope execution and metric generation

  • Lead by example, adhere to, and ensure alignment with Raytheon values and behaviors

  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams in the operation, testing, and troubleshooting of systems

  • Provide independent business health checks by evaluating capital execution metrics

  • Involvement in TS Center initiatives

  • Interact with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Cross Product Team (CPT) / Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads, as well as other functional management to drive results to achieve program and business unit objectives.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in leading mid- to large-sized teams technical projects

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), and baselining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) of projects

  • Experience with bidding proposals and long-range planning

  • Active or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Qualifications we Prefer

  • Experience working with Program Configuration Management principles and tools such as IMS, PMX tools, or tracking books

  • Knowledge of business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies

  • Experience supporting technical issue resolution, and mentoring early career staff members, or managing project teams of various sizes

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
