Job description

We are seeking an entrepreneurial CVB management professional for the Executive Director position at a thriving community just south of Memphis, TN. If you excel at booking national entertainers and large-scale events, building relationships in your local hospitality community, and want to have the opportunity to vastly impact this great community, this is an excellent opportunity. This community is seeking a dynamic personality willing to roll up their sleeves, get involved in the community, and work hand-in-hand with the Board of Directors to take this community to the next level.

This is a growing and successful community with several venues, hotels, and restaurants. The CVB is in the midst of a massive construction project that will provide even greater opportunities for conventions and large events. The community is family-oriented, with a low cost of living and nearby access to lots of outdoor adventure and culture.

Compensation: $160,000 - $180,000 + fully paid benefits, PTO, and state retirement program.

Executive Director Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as an Executive Director of a CVB, DMO, or large event venue.
  • Experience booking national acts and promoting your facility.
  • True "People Person" who loves interacting with others and forming strong working relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.
  • Previous successful creation and implementation of strategic plans.
  • Proven success in managing the financial aspects of a large operation.
