Job Summary: As the Business Development Manager (the “BDM”), you will be responsible for pursuing generator sales and rental opportunities for both new and existing customers. This is a critical role in the long-term development of ACS’s target customer base and kW on rent goals.


Roles & Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • This is an outside sales position. Much time as shall be spent in the field, interacting with electrical contractors/engineers, 3rd party customers, and end-users.
  • The BDM will be technically capable of educating customers on exact needs (generator sizing, fuel options, etc.) and provide answers to power requirements.
  • Create and prepare quotations for projects in a timely fashion with diligent follow through and follow up on every opportunity.
  • Prepare forecasts and sales plans/strategies.
  • Facilitate the MSA process with new customers.
  • Communicate closely with the branch service department for all commissioning activities to ensure customers’ expectations are met.
  • Partner with service department with presenting and closing Preventative Maintenance Agreements for customer aftersales support.
  • Work under deadlines as given and be flexible in working hours as dictated by customer needs and schedules.
  • Conduct quarterly check-in meetings with customers to ensure service expectations are being met.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of power generation or related industry experience including direct sales.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in electric and natural gas power generation products preferred.
  • Familiarity with MS software applications and working in ERP/CRM programs.
  • Strong Attention to Detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast pace and sometimes ambiguous environment with competing priorities.
  • Must be an independent self-starter and complete multiple tasks in a high volume and fast paced environment.
