Westbury Center of Conyers for Nursing and Healing | Conyers, GA
Westbury Center of Conyers for Nursing and Healing is seeking an experienced RN Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) to lead education, training, and infection prevention at our skilled nursing facility. This is a rewarding opportunity for a clinically strong nurse who loves mentoring staff, fostering a culture of safety, and driving quality of care.
About the Role
As our SDC, you'll be the cornerstone of staff education and development-overseeing new hire orientation, ongoing training, and compliance programs. You'll also manage employee health and lead infection prevention initiatives, ensuring our team is prepared, supported, and always regulatory-ready.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensures facility complies with regulatory requirements relating to staff credentialing and education.
  • Provides services associated with the ongoing professional development of staff at the facility.
  • Conducts new employee orientation and coordinates competency completion.
  • Ensures the delivery of annual mandatory and continuous education for staff using internal or external resources according to state and federal regulations and company policy.
  • Teaches certain in-house courses, such as the CNA training program, special care unit training, etc.
  • Coordinates employee health program (immunizations, flu shots, physical exams, etc.)
  • Monitors and ensures current licensure and certifications of facility staff
  • Maintains employee education, training, and health files.
  • As an Infection Preventionist, you will lead the charge in our compliance efforts with infection prevention requirements.
