The Legal Talent Development Coordinator serves as an operations and logistics partner for the Legal Talent Development team, helping drive execution of key programs, processes, and business priorities. The Legal Talent Development Coordinator will coordinate workflows, manage timelines, support cross-functional initiatives, and oversee the logistics required to deliver high-quality talent development programs and events in a fast-moving, dynamic environment. The Legal Talent Development Coordinator works collaboratively as an integral member of the Legal Talent Development team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as an operations and logistics coordinator for the Legal Talent Development team, managing project execution, scheduling priorities, travel coordination, expense processing, meeting logistics, presentation materials, and related business support activities.
  • Coordinate operational support for critical Legal Talent Development functions, including the annual evaluation and compensation process, partner promotion process, and Academies and Clinics.
  • Support the planning, implementation, and tracking of Legal Talent Development initiatives by maintaining project plans, documentation, timelines, and follow-up actions.
  • Manage the department calendar of key talent timelines, milestones, deliverables, and recurring operational priorities.
  • Maintain department records and operational materials, including correspondence, meeting agendas, minutes, attorney rosters, business plans, presentations, org charts, task lists, and databases.
  • Coordinate budget tracking, expense management, and related financial logistics for the department.
  • Lead logistics for department and attorney meetings, retreats, trainings, and related events, including agenda development, material preparation, communications, vendor or venue coordination as needed, and day-of execution support.
  • Monitor project progress and coordinate with team members and stakeholders to help ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Support post-program and post-project reviews to evaluate outcomes, identify process improvements, and strengthen coordination across the team and with partner functions.
  • Assist in gathering and coordinating market data and internal communications efforts that support talent-related planning, competitive intelligence, and department visibility.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to exercise sound independent judgment, tact, and discretion involving sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, initiative, and a collaborative approach in a dynamic, service-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational and operational skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines, priorities, and logistics with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, accurate reports, correspondence, agendas, and program materials.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across teams and with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree; or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional development or related experience in a law firm or other professional services setting.
  • Previous experience in a law firm or professional environment preferred.
  • Prior experience in operations, program coordination, project support, event logistics, or professional team support preferred.
