Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Program Manager to lead customer programs from project launch through production, delivery, and ongoing account support within a precision manufacturing environment.


This role is responsible for managing strategic customer relationships and coordinating cross-functional execution across engineering, production, quality, purchasing, and supply chain teams. The successful candidate will drive program performance, customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, profitability, and continuous operational improvement.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically knowledgeable, customer-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer programs from initial launch through production and final delivery
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding schedules, deliverables, updates, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, production, purchasing, quality, and shipping departments
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, KPI dashboards, milestone tracking, and reporting tools
  • Monitor program scope, timelines, costs, risks, and overall execution performance
  • Ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated and executed internally
  • Identify project risks proactively and implement corrective actions when required
  • Support quoting handoff, production planning, and design-for-manufacturing discussions
  • Track open action items and drive accountability across teams
  • Lead internal program reviews and customer status meetings
  • Assist with improving project management systems, reporting structures, and operational processes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on delivery, communication, quality, and customer satisfaction


Required Qualifications

  • PMP Certification required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production scheduling, quality standards, and customer expectations
  • Experience managing multiple customer programs or projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, production, purchasing, and quality teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to drive execution and accountability
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables, dashboards, and reporting functions
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems and project management platforms
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar tools is strongly preferred


Preferred Experience

  • Background in metal fabrication, CNC machining, welding, sheet metal, mechanical assemblies, automation, aerospace, defence, medical devices, industrial equipment, or custom manufacturing
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management systems
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, BOMs, routers, purchase orders, and production schedules
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), prototype-to-production programs, or custom manufacturing builds
