Job description

Job Title: SMT Machine Operator

Job Description

The SMT Machine Operator is responsible for aligning and hand placing parts on boards, operating SMT machines, and performing preventive maintenance on SMT equipment. The operator will also handle SMT programming, manage inventory storage systems like FIFO, verify electronic components, and ensure accurate maintenance and cleanliness of PCB and electronic components.

Shift:

  • Day shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm or 7:30am - 4:00pm
  • Monday-Friday

Pay:

  • Starting pay: $21-23/hour (flexible and open to negotiation based on your experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities

  • Align and hand place parts on boards.
  • Run and set up SMT machines and feeders.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on SMT equipment.
  • Program SMT machines for pick & place and solder printing.
  • Utilize reflow oven profiling.
  • Execute inventory storage systems such as FIFO.
  • Verify electronic components.
  • Maintain and organize PCB and electronic components.
  • Log daily production job records.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience with SMT machines.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and ESD control.
  • Hands-on experience with SMT process, printed circuit boards, stencils, inspection, reading blueprints, and soldering.
  • Experience in troubleshooting SMT equipment.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of PCB assembly, testing, soldering, and troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Hanwha/Samsung machines is a plus.
  • Familiarity with IPC Standards (IPC 610 & 600) and ISO 9001.
  • Experience with Selective Solder Machines.
  • Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) experience.
