Job description

Job Title: Guidewire Technical Program Manager
Guidewire Technical Program Manager
Overview / Summary
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Technical Program Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementations across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter. This role will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, development teams, and platform architects to ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with enterprise insurance transformation objectives. Candidates with strong technical expertise and multiple Guidewire implementation experiences as a Technical Lead or Architect, along with exposure to program management responsibilities, are ideal.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management
  • Co-manage or assist with end-to-end program roadmap and milestone tracking
  • Highlight cross-functional dependencies across multiple workstreams for effective planning
  • Support sprint planning, release planning, and PI planning ceremonies
  • Assist with maintaining RAID logs and escalation protocols

Guidewire Platform Delivery
  • Oversee configuration, integration, and extension development on InsuranceSuite
  • Ensure compliance with Guidewire cloud assurance standards
  • Reverse engineer implementations to identify gaps and provide remedial measures
  • Stay current with latest Guidewire release features and provide technical thought leadership

Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as primary liaison between client program management teams, IT teams, and Guidewire vendor teams
  • Prepare and present executive-level status reports and dashboards
  • Keep client leadership informed of potential pitfalls to ensure smooth delivery
  • Facilitate change management and UAT readiness

Quality & Risk
  • Work closely with ongoing SIT activities by providing oversight and planning support
  • Proactively identify technical and program risks and recommend mitigation plans
  • Oversee performance, security, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications
Experience
  • Overall 15+ years of IT experience
  • 8+ years in technical program or project management
  • 3+ full-cycle Guidewire implementations across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter

Technical Skills
  • Deep understanding of the P&C insurance domain including underwriting, claims, and billing
  • Expertise in architecting Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions
  • Experience with Gosu and SOAP/REST API integrations in a Guidewire environment
  • Good understanding of BillingCenter and Digital implementations

Guidewire Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of PolicyCenter and BillingCenter workflows
  • Excellent understanding of the P&C insurance domain

Analytical Skills
  • Ability to analyze code, identify issues, and provide remedial measures
  • Hands-on capability in Guidewire technical problem solving

Soft Skills
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to lead from the front
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, multi-vendor environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Guidewire ACE Certified on cloud, at least Mammoth
  • Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) and Jutro digital framework
  • Background working for a Guidewire SI partner
  • Experience leading large implementation teams and involvement with program management
