Job description

Description
We're looking for a Program Delivery Lead who is organized, thorough, and collaborative - someone who takes real ownership of preconstruction and design from first sketch to final GMP.
The title is Program Delivery Lead. The real job is keeping preconstruction and design moving - aligned, on budget, and on schedule - while every stakeholder in the room stays on the same page
Your Day-to-Day
Preconstruction Planning & Coordination
• Coordinate preconstruction schedules, budgets, and deliverables from day one
• Engage architects, engineers, estimators, and consultants to keep project objectives aligned
• Track timelines and milestones, and flag risks before they become problems
• Build strong client relationships through responsiveness and follow-through
Design Management
• Coordinate design reviews across disciplines to keep everyone pointed at the same goals
• Support feasibility studies, value engineering, and constructability reviews
• Keep design-build and design-assist processes moving under the Program Manager's direction
• Run coordination meetings and document the decisions and action items that come out of them
Budget, Process & Communication
• Support cost estimates, budget updates, and scope definition
• Monitor design progress against target budgets and flag corrective action early
• Coordinate GMPs and lump-sum values with design-build and design-assist subcontractors
• Help standardize workflows, capture lessons learned, and keep documentation audit-ready
The Right Fit
You're a strong fit if you:
• Have a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• Bring 5-10 years of experience in project management or preconstruction within commercial construction
• Have worked with design-build or design-assist delivery methods
• Understand construction budgeting, scheduling, and process from the ground up
• Are proficient with project management tools and software
• Communicate clearly and build trust with clients, subs, and internal teams alike
• Can manage multiple priorities without losing track of the details
• Are willing to travel occasionally (up to 20%) and visit active job sites as needed
Our Values
We hire for character as much as credentials. These four traits define the people who succeed at MCL:
Passionate - you care deeply about the work, the craft, and the people around you. This is more than a job to you.
Dedicated - you show up fully every day. When things get hard-and they will-you stay engaged.
Thorough - details matter. You don't hand something off or close it out until it's done right.
Respectful - you treat the owner, the sub, the laborer, and everyone in between with respect. It's not situational here-it's the standard.
What You're Walking Into
MCL Construction has been building Omaha and the surrounding region since 1987. We build with integrity, show up with purpose, and leave every project - and every relationship - better than we found it. Our reputation is built on people who show up, lead from the front, and take real pride in what gets built.
You'll work with experienced teammates on projects that shape communities, in a culture that values your judgment and the impact of your work.
If you want meaningful work with people who hold a high standard and have each other's backs, MCL is the place.
Competitive Compensation Package with benefits including: Medical, Dental & Vision • 401(k) with company match • Generous PTO • Travel opportunities • And more
You don't just keep a schedule. You keep an entire project team pointed at the same target.
If that speaks to you, let's talk.
Ready to lead delivery from the ground up?
