ABOUT THE ROLE

CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide personal property, mortgage and commercial lender headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking a Compliance & QC Analyst II to help grow our Compliance Department. This in-person role is in our Plano, TX office. The Compliance & QC Analyst II is responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and supporting compliance with federal, state, and investor regulations that govern the company’s operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify, research, and resolve compliance and quality control issues. The Compliance & QC Analyst II serves as a subject matter resource to internal teams, supports audits and quality control reviews to assist with the development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, and training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and complete loan files for state examinations
  • Prepare and answer audit questionnaires from state examiners
  • In depth knowledge of NMLS registration and state licensing registration requirements
  • Manage duties in NMLS requiring knowledge of the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act
  • Manage the Company NMLS license for each state and submit for renewal
  • Calculate correct amount needed for Company bonds working with broker to manage renewal for both the Company and its loan officers
  • Prepare, review and submit quarterly NMLS Mortgage Call Reports
  • Prepare and review state annual reports for accuracy by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information for submissions
  • Prepare, review for accuracy, and submit monthly Mortgage Insurance Loan Activity Reports (MILAR)
  • Complete and validate all reconciliation of MERS data and other data integrity processes monthly
  • Complete the annual MERS audit, manage MERS compliance and keep MERS policies current
  • Strong research skills and knowledgeable of state lending/licensing laws using online research tools
  • Clear and maintain all OFAC alerts, prepare condition notice for the employees
  • Proficient in the preparation, rules and requirements for HMDA reporting and accurate submission
  • Complete AML reconciliation, reporting, update training, complete the annual audit and file a SAR, if required
  • Proficient and knowledgeable about the initial disclosures for each loan product and state requirements
  • TRID expert, answer questions, approving disclosures related to rules and requirements
  • RESPA and TILA subject matter expert, develop training material and fielding questions from employees
  • Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing policy and procedure changes
  • Work with departments to understand processes, reporting requirements and audit responsibilities
  • Ability to read and interpret rules published by compliance regulators
  • Conduct routine quality control reviews of chattel & Land Home loan servicing
  • Verify documentation and correspondence are compliant with servicing policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Able to establish testing and sampling procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Perform audits of loan servicing, including bankruptcy, delinquencies, escrow management, loan modifications
  • Perform audits for chattel servicing to verify accuracy, consistency, and error detection
  • Create and maintain documents to perform audits including checklists, reports, scorecards, trackers, etc.
  • Provide recommendations to improve processes and procedures enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
  • Report QC findings to senior staff and assist in investigations of defects and corrective actions
  • Assist in the development and execution of testing protocols and quality plans
  • Deliver quality control results, provide feedback and work with supervisors on needed improvements
  • Support internal and external audits and quality reporting activities
  • Able to analyze quality metrics to identify trends or defects and report findings to senior management
  • Research processes and write procedures based on position and regulatory details
  • Perform administrative, database administration and preparation of reports as required
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

  • Understanding of maintaining the confidentiality of non-public information needed to perform duties

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree required in Business, Accounting, Finance or Management
  • 14+ months of Manufactured Housing Compliance Analyst experience OR
  • 3+ years of banking or financial services experience
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of HMDA and data requirements
  • Knowledge of FHA and Conventional loan types a plus
