About the Role

The Program Administrator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day administration of TECHNATIONs Career Ready Program, with a focus on its wage subsidy program. Your support will be integral to the programs efficiency and thereby contribute significantly to the prosperity of Canadas technology sector.


This position is responsible for administrative coordination of the subsidy application workflows, stakeholder support, and providing admin support to the internal team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

About the TECHNATION Career Ready Program

The Career Ready wage subsidy program is part of the Government of Canadas Student Work Placement Program (SWPP). It supports businesses by subsidizing the cost of hiring a student for a work-term placement, creating valuable experiential learning opportunities and helping students build their careers.


Key Responsibilities

Program Administration

  • Assist in processing applications, reviewing eligibility, and ensuring compliance with program guidelines.
  • Maintain program databases and records, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
  • Respond to inquiries from employers, students, and post-secondary institutions, providing excellent customer service.
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and program documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, tracking deliverables, and coordinating logistics for program activities.
  • Participate in outreach efforts, webinars, and events to engage stakeholders.
  • Support employer and student engagement efforts, ensuring a positive program experience.
  • Assist in compiling testimonials, feedback, and success stories for program evaluation and marketing efforts.

Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Completed post-secondary education; diploma or degree in business administration, project management, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 13 years of experience in program administration, coordination, or a similar support role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience with database management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support team members and interact professionally with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Other Assets

  • Bilingualism (English/French) is a significant asset.
  • Experience in a non-profit, association, or workforce development setting.
  • Familiarity with funding programs, grants, or government reporting processes.
  • Knowledge of application processing platform or database management; or experience streamlining administrative workflows.
