What are professional services?

Professional services refer to specialized services provided by individuals or firms with expertise in particular fields, such as law, accounting, consulting, engineering, or IT. These services typically require advanced training, certification, or professional licenses. Companies and individuals hire professional service providers to help with complex tasks, problem-solving, or strategic advice that goes beyond general business operations. Examples include legal advice, tax planning, management consulting, and software implementation. The goal is to deliver value through expert knowledge and tailored solutions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in professional service?

To thrive in Professional Services, you need strong analytical abilities, industry-specific knowledge, and typically a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Familiarity with project management tools, CRM systems, and, in some cases, certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma are beneficial. Exceptional interpersonal skills, adaptability, and effective communication set top performers apart in client-facing roles. These skills are crucial for delivering value to clients, managing complex projects, and maintaining high standards of service in a competitive environment.

How do professionals in service roles typically collaborate with other departments to deliver client solutions?

Professionals in service roles often work closely with departments such as sales, product development, and customer support to ensure the best outcomes for clients. Regular cross-functional meetings and project updates help align everyone on client goals and service delivery expectations. Effective communication and a collaborative mindset are key, as service professionals often act as the bridge between clients and internal teams, translating client needs into actionable tasks. This collaborative approach not only improves client satisfaction but also helps professionals build a broad network within the organization.

Job description

Are you the Service Advisor customers ask for by name? If so, Ron Hoover RV & Marine Centers in San Antonio, TX wants to talk to you!

At Ron Hoover RV & Marine Centers, we're not looking for someone to simply write repair orders. We're looking for a professional who owns the customer experience from the moment an RV or boat arrives until it's returned to its owner.

Our Service Advisors are the bridge between our customers and our technicians. They communicate clearly, solve problems before they become complaints, keep repairs moving, and build the kind of trust that turns first-time customers into lifelong customers.

If you're the type of advisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment, believes communication solves most problems, and refuses to let customers wonder what's happening with their RV or boat, we want to talk with you.

What Success Looks Like

You will:

  • Own every customer interaction from check-in to delivery.
  • Build trust through honest communication and realistic expectations.
  • Keep customers informed before they have to ask.
  • Coordinate with technicians and parts personnel to keep repairs moving.
  • Prioritize urgency without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Handle difficult conversations professionally and confidently.
  • Deliver an experience that customers remember for the right reasons.

You Could Be a Great Fit If You...

  • Have experience as a Service Advisor in RV, automotive, marine, heavy equipment, powersports, or a similar service environment.
  • Can manage multiple repair orders without losing attention to detail.
  • Are highly organized and thrive in a busy environment.
  • Know how to communicate with frustrated customers while maintaining professionalism.
  • Believe follow-up is just as important as the repair itself.
  • Understand that customer satisfaction starts with communication.

What We Value

We're looking for someone who:

  • Doesn't wait to be asked.
  • Communicates proactively.
  • Takes pride in delivering exceptional service.
  • Holds themselves accountable.
  • Works well with technicians, parts personnel, and management.
  • Wants to build a long-term career with a growing company.

Why Ron Hoover RV & Marine Centers?

We serve customers throughout Texas and Oklahoma who depend on us to keep their adventures moving. Our reputation has been built by people who care about doing things right, supporting one another, and delivering an experience that stands above the competition.

If you're looking for a place where professionalism matters, your work is appreciated, and your career can grow, we'd like to meet you.
