Job description

At Iron Mountain we know that work, when done well, makes a positive impact for our customers, our employees, and our planet. That's why we need smart, committed people to join us. Whether you're looking to start your career or make a change, talk to us and see how you can elevate the power of your work at Iron Mountain.

We provide expert, sustainable solutions in records and information management, digital transformation services, data centers, asset lifecycle management, and fine art storage, handling, and logistics. We proudly partner every day with our 225,000 customers around the world to preserve their invaluable artifacts, extract more from their inventory, and protect their data privacy in innovative and socially responsible ways.

Are you curious about being part of our growth story while evolving your skills in a culture that will welcome your unique contributions? If so, let's start the conversation.

Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced and versatile Procurement Professional to join our Global Procurement team. In this dual-impact role, you will support the execution of our enterprise transportation strategy, managing day-to-day operations for both our internal commercial private fleet and our external third-party logistics (3PL) network.

You will join a high-impact team that acts as the organization's market "sensor," working closely with our two internal Subject Matter Experts to provide critical pricing and capacity insights while ensuring our entire logistics ecosystem-from leased trucks to global ocean freight-remains cost-effective, resilient, and ready to scale.

What You'll Do:

  • Integrated Sourcing Execution: Partner with our two internal SMEs to implement and execute global category strategies across the full spectrum of logistics: internal fleet (leasing, M&R, fuel, telematics) and external transport (Parcel, 3PL, LTL/FTL, Ocean, Air, and Last-Mile).
  • End-to-End Event Management: Run complex RFPs/RFQs and supplier evaluations under the guidance of team leadership, translating enterprise goals into regional execution plans that deliver year-over-year savings and working-capital benefits.
  • Commercial Negotiation: Structure and manage standard-to-complex commercial agreements, including MSAs, fuel mechanisms, rate structures, SLAs, and liability terms, ensuring all contracts reflect unique operational realities.
  • Performance & Relationship Management: Manage the supplier lifecycle for both carriers and fleet vendors. Utilize scorecards and QBRs to drive continuous improvement, standardization, and risk mitigation.
  • Market Intelligence: Analyze freight markets and fleet cost drivers (e.g., cost per mile, capacity trends, rate indices). Collaborate with team SMEs to deliver pricing, uptime, and innovation insights to leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Coordinate with Fleet Operations, Finance, IT, and Safety to balance cost, service, and compliance across a global, multi-region network.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven Experience: 4-7 years of professional procurement and category management experience supporting large-scale, multi-region logistics and commercial private fleets.
  • Domain Expertise: Solid understanding of fleet programs (leasing, maintenance, routing tech) combined with 3PL operational knowledge (parcel, brokerage, intermodal, and international freight).
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation and analytical skills with a track record of delivering sustainable value. Ability to confidently present project updates and value-realization metrics to stakeholders.
  • Technical & Analytical Proficiency: Data-driven mindset familiar with fleet KPIs, DOT considerations, and transportation tools such as TMS, parcel analytics, and freight audit platforms.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (CPSM, CIPS, CSCMP/SCPro) are a plus.

What we offer:

  • Competitive Compensation: Salary and benefits package aligned with your level of expertise.
  • Flexibility: 100% Remote opportunity within the United States to support a healthy work-life balance.
  • Stability & Growth: Comprehensive health, wellness, and retirement plans, along with opportunities for continuous learning in a global organization.
  • Generous PTO: Ample paid time off and holidays to support your personal well-being.
