Job description

A manufacturing organization supporting the defense industry is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations, support team performance, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality standards. This role is responsible for leading production personnel, coordinating schedules, supporting process improvements, and helping drive accountability across the floor.
Production Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production activities, assign work, monitor progress, and ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently.
- Lead, train, and develop production employees while maintaining accurate training records and supporting performance reviews.
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to address production issues, equipment concerns, workflow bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor production schedules, staffing needs, machine availability, and materials to support business unit forecasts and customer commitments.
- Enforce safety procedures, conduct safety audits and meetings, report unsafe conditions, and stop production when safety, quality, or performance concerns arise.
- Track production data, attendance, reports, supplies, shipping requests, and other administrative requirements accurately and on time.
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, productivity improvement projects, process audits, corrective actions, and waste reduction efforts.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, quality standards, production procedures, ethics expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Production Supervisor Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing supervisor role required
- Experience leading teams with 15+ direct reports required
- Bachelor's degree required
