Job description

Position Summary: The QC Auditor is responsible for following work instructions, and inspection standards as directed by QC leadership. QC Auditor is responsible for acting in the best interest of quality of the parts being produced. QC Auditor must be able to contain defects, reaction or countermeasures, and dispositions as required.

Scope of Responsibilities: QC Auditor strives to assure achievement of high quality parts. Must maintain safety for themselves and others by following procedures and using own awareness. QC Auditor participates in various activities including: inspection, troubleshooting, responding to customer quality claims and implementation of appropriate countermeasures. QC auditor records results, and provides reporting as required. QC Auditor applies procedural discipline while performing daily job functions.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use inspection standards to check parts quality.
  • Use inspection work instructions to check parts quality.
  • Operates quality devices to check surface roughness and dimensional items including pre-made programs on CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for product verification.
  • Follow IATF and QS guidelines.
  • Follow overtime procedures and schedule for weekend production and for Auditor manpower gaps.
  • Implement and review nonconforming product dispositions.
  • Reading product drawing and gage prints.
  • Perform contamination tests according to AWC procedures, & Customer Requirements.
  • Comply with associate attendance policy and with company guidelines.
  • Perform inspections to standard in a timely manner and assure change notifications are performed correctly including containment if necessary.
  • Reporting of inspection method concerns, missing, damaged, or out of calibration tools.
  • Comply with associate attendance policy and with company guidelines.
  • Give direction to production associates and assist with problem solving.
  • Use respectful, proper and effective communication within the department and with all related departments.
  • Follow 3S and 5S organization and housekeeping methods.
  • Use professional conduct at all times.
  • Performs similar or related duties as assigned.



Preferred Training/Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; good problem-solving skills with experience in the use of analytical tools.
  • Working knowledge and use of Excel, Word, Internet and E-mail.
