Job description

Assembly Supervisor – Equipment Manufacturing

Go Fast Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to oversee the daily operation of our equipment assembly department.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for organizing assembly work, directing employees, maintaining quality standards, and keeping equipment builds on schedule. The right candidate will be mechanically skilled but, more importantly, able to lead people, assign work, identify problems early, and hold the department accountable.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operation of the assembly department
  • Review the production schedule and establish daily priorities
  • Assign work and monitor employee progress
  • Ensure parts and materials are available before assembly begins
  • Coordinate shortages and production issues with welding, machining, paint, engineering, and material handling
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, bills of material, and work instructions
  • Train and develop assembly employees
  • Maintain quality, safety, organization, and productivity standards
  • Assist with troubleshooting and complex assembly when necessary
  • Communicate production status and concerns to the Production Manager
  • Help test and verify completed machinery before shipment
Qualifications
  • Previous industrial or mechanical assembly experience
  • Prior lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and work instructions
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, welding, or industrial equipment is beneficial
  • Ability to organize work and communicate expectations clearly
  • Willingness to address performance and quality problems
  • Ability to lead through planning, training, and accountability—not simply by doing all the work personally
Compensation
  • $32–$38 per hour, depending on experience
  • Full-time position
  • Advancement opportunities based on performance and leadership ability

Go Fast Manufacturing builds industrial machinery for the pallet, sawmill, and material-handling industries. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the assembly department and help our team consistently complete high-quality equipment on schedule.
