Employment Type: Internship (Paid)
Duration: Summer 2026 (10–12 weeks)
Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)


Position Overview

As an Investment Product Management Intern, you'll support the Product Management team in managing and evolving our open-architecture lineup of equity, fixed income, and alternatives products. Work directly and collaborate with an experienced team to gain exposure to the full investment product lifecycle in a fiduciary-focused, manager-of-managers environment.

This role provides hand-on contributions to product strategy and offers unique exposure to some of the world's leading investment managers through our sub-advisory partnerships. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to help execute marketing, messaging, and positioning initiatives that support client acquisition, retention, and product awareness.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated student interested in learning more about investment product strategy, asset management, and the inner workings of the mutual fund and ETF industry across fixed income, equity and alternative asset classes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and provide input on marketing materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with product strategy
  • Support ad-hoc research projects exploring new product ideas, emerging asset classes, sub-advisor opportunities, or innovative vehicle structures
  • Perform in-depth research on competitors, market trends, and positioning strategies
  • Conduct competitive analysis on key peers and industry players, evaluating fund positioning, performance, fees, and differentiation to inform how American Beacon products stand out in the wealth channels

Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student (graduating 2026-2028)
  • Proactive and detail-oriented
  • Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills
  • Genuine interest in asset management, investment products, and financial markets
  • Familiarity with MPT statistics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred majors: Finance, Economics, Investments, or finance related fields (e.g., Mathematics/Statistics with a finance focus)
  • Prior finance-related experience in wealth management, financial analysis, sales support, or research, preferred
  • Investment club participation or other campus finance roles
