Job description

While upholding the Easton core values and policies, the Product Development Engineer supports the design, development, validation, and continuous improvement of Easton archery products. As one of the most established and respected names in archery, Easton offers a unique opportunity to help develop equipment for a brand with more than a century of innovation and performance. Easton arrows have won every Olympic archery competition since the sport's inclusion in the Games, and this role contributes to continuing that legacy.
Easton is seeking a Product Development Engineer with strong technical fundamentals and a passion for archery. The ideal candidate understands archery equipment, competitive performance, and the shooter experience. Working closely with the product development team, this role helps shape the Easton product line while supporting new product development from concept through production.
This position collaborates with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to design, test, and improve products. This role includes a mix of office engineering work, manufacturing collaboration, and outdoor product testing, with occasional participation in tournaments, trade shows, and industry events.
What You'll Do
  • Support the design and development of Easton archery products
  • Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using SolidWorks
  • Assist with new product development from concept to production
  • Develop and execute product testing and validation plans
  • Conduct lab and field testing to evaluate product performance and durability
  • Work with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, marketing, and supply chain
  • Support engineering documentation including BOMs and product specifications
  • Collaborate with pro staff and shooters to gather feedback on product performance
  • Attend industry events, tournaments, and field-testing activities when needed
  • Help troubleshoot product or manufacturing challenges and support continuous improvement

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • 2-4 years of engineering experience (product development preferred)
  • Experience creating engineering drawings and CAD models
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Personal experience with archery required

Bonus Skills
  • Knowledge of recurve or compound archery equipment
  • Experience with manufacturing processes or composite materials
  • Familiarity with PLM systems or engineering change management
  • Experience with product testing or validation
