Key Contributions

  • Monitor coverage and results, rapidly adapting strategies for optimal impact.
  • Support communication strategies for new product features, announcements, and proactive communications programs.
  • The primary outcome will be securing earned media coverage that highlights new features and engages audiences through trend and culture storytelling.

Primary Duties
  • Collaborate with communications teams to advance consumer and product-based priorities.
  • Lead media relations efforts for various product launches, securing prominent placements across technology and consumer publications, emerging media platforms, and within creator networks.
  • Identify and execute proactive storytelling initiatives beyond launch cycles, focusing on cultural trends, creator success stories, and trending platform content.
  • Partner with product, marketing, and partnership teams to develop integrated press and social publisher strategies for go-to-market initiatives.
  • Continuously cultivate and expand relationships with key reporters in consumer, technology, and specialized beat sectors, as well as emerging media platforms targeting specific demographics.

Required Skills & Experience
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in public relations, journalism, social media, or a parallel industry.
  • Must possess established relationships with media professionals covering consumer technology, youth culture, and social trends.
  • Proven capability in generating media interest and managing campaigns for consumer-facing products.
  • Demonstrated success in creative narrative development for next-generation outlets and various social platforms.
  • History of effective cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Exceptional writing skills applicable to press releases, blog entries, brand narratives, and social media content.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Established media relationships with proof of outcomes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in media pitching + story placement.
  • Proven experience in product communications / launches (skill in turning features + updates into press-worthy narratives).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience from a PR agency (especially consumer/lifestyle focus) with fast-paced pitching experience.
  • Strong trend and storytelling instincts, with the ability to frame features into compelling culture/trend stories.
  • Familiarity with diverse media markets and existing local media networks (helpful, not required).
