About the Role:
The Communications team at Hims & Hers is responsible for shaping how the world understands our company's role in advancing modern health. We develop strategies to raise awareness, increase brand love, build trust and loyalty, and drive adoption of our products and services. As Hers, our platform for women's health, scales its product portfolio and enters new health categories, the Director, Product Communications, Hers will lead and develop strategies to raise awareness, increase brand love, build trust and loyalty, and drive adoption. You will shape how we position and communicate our products and care offerings across media, internal teams, influencer and editorial channels, and key external moments.
In this role, you'll lead high-priority initiatives across consumer product, brand, and executive communications. Reporting to the VP of Product & International Communications, you'll work closely with senior members of the Communications team and our cross-functional partners in marketing, clinical, product, social, and customer insights to position Hers as a leader in women's health.

You Will:
  • Lead Hers product communications across defined categories, with accountability for business impact including awareness, trust, and adoption
  • Influence Hers product positioning and go-to-market decisions in partnership with Product, Growth, Clinical, Regulatory, Brand and Product Marketing
  • Lead earned media strategy and execution tied to Hers product priorities, including proactive storytelling and reactive engagement
  • Drive how Hers products show up across editorial moments, influencer activations, and key external events
  • Ensure alignment across external and internal communications so teams operate from a consistent and accurate product narrative
  • Build deep expertise in Hers products and represent the company directly with media, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Develop and drive thought leadership across physicians, patient communities, and broader healthcare audiences for Hers.
  • Lead communications for new category expansion in emerging areas of women's health, and diagnostics, including positioning and launch execution
  • Lead issue management within Hers product categories, driving clear positioning and response in complex or high-visibility situations
  • Translate clinical, regulatory, and product complexity into messaging that is clear, accurate, and defensible
  • Design and execute integrated communications campaigns tied to product priorities, with clear measurement of impact on awareness, trust, and adoption
  • Track performance, evaluate results, and adjust strategy based on what drives impact
  • Drive planning, prioritization, and execution discipline within your scope
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team on issues management tied to product and category topics, including high-scrutiny areas, ensuring clear, credible, and timely responses

You Have:
  • 10-12+ years of experience in product communications, consumer communications, or related fields
  • Strong understanding of DTC product-led businesses, including how product, growth, and customer behavior connect
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and strategies to enhance team and communications performance
  • Experience owning a defined area of responsibility end-to-end, including shaping direction and driving execution
  • Strong earned media experience, with a track record of landing stories and building sustained narratives
  • Experience working across media, influencer, editorial, and event-driven communications
  • Experience in consumer health or other consumer-facing industries with regulatory or reputational complexity
  • Strong consumer instincts, with the ability to translate product value into messaging that resonates with real users
  • Experience leading issue management within a defined scope, with strong judgment in fast-moving or ambiguous situations
  • Data-driven mindset, with the ability to define success, measure performance, and adjust based on impact
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and ability to influence Product, Growth, Clinical, and Executive stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree required
