Qualifications

Mechanical Designer  must be interning with AAS student in Mechanical Design/CAD (or similar) with minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0


Mechanical Designer requires:

  • Experience with CAD applications (NX preferred) and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, molding, forming, etc) a plus

Mechanical Designer  duties:

  • Use NX to design mechanical parts and assemblies and create drawing
  • Work with team to brainstorm ideas and select optimum design concept
  • Work with internal model shop / buyers to procure prototype parts
  • Install/assemble prototype parts for design validation
