As a Procurement Buyer, you will be assisting our project teams with the planning, sourcing, expediting, vendor evaluation and selection of materials and services required to meet project commitments while aligning with strategic partners with organizational buying initiatives. You will work closely with our project execution teams and supply chain organization to ensure cost effective and timely procurement of project materials while adhering closely with company policies and procedures . This position will report to the Procurement Manager.

Job Duties:
  • Work directly with project execution teams to understand the material requirements and timing for the project and providing assistance for lead time considerations, ordering, obtaining and evaluating quotes, negotiating terms and expediting materials.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, track order status, and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Ensure accuracy in order details, quantities, and delivery dates.
  • Assist in handling quality issues or returns, if necessary
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, manufacturing, warehouse, and operations.
  • Follow up with suppliers on delivery status and commitments.
  • Proactively resolves issues (i.e., material shortages, quality issues, etc.) with vendors and internal customers using organizational savvy and critical thinking skills.
  • Maintains strong internal stakeholder relationships through follow up and communication regarding material arrival issues arising in the supply chain.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or related field or4+ years of experience in purchasing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Assertive, self-motivated, goal and result driven.
Required Skills:
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Experience in inventory management
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Net Suite)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software .
Physical Requirements:
  • This position requires sitting at a desk for multiple hours at a time.
